A downloadable roleplaying game

Sirens blare. Loudspeakers instruct the wards to evacuate. There are lights in the sky. This is a game about disasters, and our response to them. Set in a reality not too dissimilar to our own, "Breaches" from parallel dimensions threaten the fabric of existence, and perhaps just as importantly, the economy. The Ministry of the Exterior, a recently formed state apparatus created to respond to this extra-dimensional threat, has fielded various agencies, task forces, and think tanks. Unfortunately, strangled by internal politics and inadequate funding, the civil servants staffing these organs of state are not the best of the best. Many might be geniuses in their respective fields, charismatic reformers, or deeply principled paragons. However, just as many are the outcasts, the failed careerists, the weirdos and the cranks.

It is these unlikely few that you play. In BREACH, you are not the first responders, or the boots on the ground responding to these tragedies. You are bureaucrats given the unenviable task not of preventing inexplicable disasters, as that is beyond anyone’s ability (yet), but instead taking responsibility for mitigating and managing their impacts, while preparing for the worst. It is no longer possible to go back to the way things were. The question we play to answer is what will be left after the dust settles. What is worth saving?

BREACH is a tabletop role-playing game Sparked by Resistance for 3-5 players and a Director, for either one-shot or serial play. The current v0.7 Beta Release "Betsy" is a public playtest open to all who are interested. For the full set of rules, open for public comment, click here.

Included with this playtest packet is a quickplay document in .PDF form, the full rules for all ten Vocations, ten pre-generated player characters, and an introductory scenario, everything you need to play the game!

Join our Discord! Throughout July we will be hosting open table games, and recruiting for others during this playtest period.
